Dolls - Pageantry

One of the fads that has grown up in recent years is the doll pageant. Usually consisting of about 4 rounds, they follow the reality tv show format of eliminations and challenges. Except without having to watch attention seeking stupid people perform daft exercises on your television and then suffer the tabloids fascination with their antics. In dolling pageants you only have to watch the results of the challenges! Much less painful for everyone!

I have amassed quite a number of awards...

Dolls are arranged by pageant, with the newest to the top of the page.

Eliana Mikos of Cyprus, for Miss Doll Europe 2011. She did not get past the first round. Technically, she placed 3rd in scoring, but since the 2nd place went to the other Cyprus entry and only one entry per country could pass, she couldn't go through! This was a little annoying, but thems the breaks.

The Steampunk Pageant 2011 Round 3- Nautical Ball. The challenge was formal attire using items that looks like nautical equipment. I went with a telescope, fish net and rope.

The Steampunk Pageant 2011 Round 2- Bathing Couture. There are parts of this that I like, but as a whole I'm not fond of it. As an idea it never really came together.

TSP 2010 Round 2 - Pastimes. I love this doll pretty hard. And probably went a bit overboard on the props. I am the bane of pageant hosts in this respect.

TSP 2010 Round 1 - Eucrazia Mort. Underwear was the round theme.

Miss Vampire Round 4 - Vampire Formality. Possibly one of my best and favourite dolls.

For the main round of MDF we had to make three dolls representing our character in three occupations. This one was diplomacy.

This was royalty. I wasn't really happy with my first attempt (the purple one) so redid it. The golden one balanced better when the three images were put together.

And this was war.

Miss Doll Fantasy 2009 audition - Matreya Ontonoa. The flag sucks, but I like the rest.

Miss Doll Mythology 2009 - Mafdet. Mafdet was an Egyptian goddess of justice and protector of the Pharoah. Round 1 required we doll our goddess in this particular dress. It never got any further though :(
